You can still get infected with COVID-19 even after getting your COVID shot. However, the severity of the infection may be lower and more manageable.

That said, according to the data collected in the Zoe Covid Symptom Study, there has been a common symptom identified in individuals who have been vaccinated but have still contracted the virus and tested positive.

Professor Tim Spector, lead researcher of the study, has said, “We’ve found that sneezing, a lot, is a more common sign of infection in those who’ve been vaccinated.”

As is known, sneezing is not a classic or common symptom of COVID-19.

However, as per the Zoe Covid Symptom Study, “sneezing more than usual can be a sign of Covid, but only in people who’ve been vaccinated”.

“If you’ve been vaccinated and start sneezing a lot without an explanation, you should stay home and get a COVID test,” recommends Professor Spector.

Apart from that, the study also said that those who have been vaccinated, if they’re infected, will experience milder and a shorter span of COVID symptoms.
